Nilesh Deshbandhu Gupta is a distinguished leader in the pharmaceutical industry and currently serves as the Managing Director of Lupin. Nilesh joined Lupin in 2002 and has since played a pivotal role in transforming the company into a global pharmaceutical giant.
Under Nilesh’s visionary leadership, Lupin has expanded its global footprint, entered new markets, and forged strategic alliances with key industry players. His unwavering commitment to research and development, coupled with his innovative approach, has led to numerous initiatives to enhance Lupin's product portfolio, particularly in the areas of generic and specialty pharmaceuticals.
Today, Lupin is a global pharmaceutical leader with products available in over 100 markets. Trusted by healthcare professionals and consumers, the company has a strong presence in India and the U.S. across multiple therapy areas. Lupin operates 15 manufacturing sites and 7 research centers globally.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Department of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
