Jaipur, April 1, 2025: Lupin Human Welfare & Research Foundation (Lupin Foundation), the CSR arm of global pharma major, Lupin Limited (Lupin), in collaboration with the State Health Department, organized a two-day state-level workshop. Senior medical officers from district hospitals across Rajasthan participated in the workshop, held from 25 – 26 March 2025, in Jaipur.
This workshop is part of the “Lives” Program from Lupin Foundation, aimed to strengthen healthcare systems and address the rising prevalence of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Over 60 senior medical officers were trained on updated guidelines* for accurate diagnosis and treatment of hypertension and coronary artery disease, COPD and asthma. The sessions were led by distinguished medical experts, Dr. Naresh Munot (Cardiologist) and Dr. Aparna Birajdar (Pulmonologist).
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Singh, Joint Director (Non-Communicable Diseases), Health Department, Government of Rajasthan, and Ms. Tushara Shankar, Head – CSR, Lupin. Other notable attendees included Mr. Arun Vashishta (State Program Officer, Health Department, Government of Rajasthan), Dr. Nachiket Sule (Head – Healthcare, Lupin Foundation), and Mr. Ravi Dadhich (District Program Manager, Healthcare, Lupin Foundation). Their presence highlighted the critical importance of this initiative in advancing public health within the state.
Sunil Singh, Joint Director of Non-Communicable Diseases at Rajasthan’s Health Department said, “The increase in non-communicable diseases challenges our public health system. This workshop is vital for updating our medical officers with the latest skills to tackle these diseases. By collaborating with Lupin Foundation, we aim to provide high-quality healthcare and better health outcomes for the people of Rajasthan.”
